The Lightning came with a lower compression ratio than the stock 5.4 V8 in a pickup. I had 3 friends that took the stock 260HP 5.4 and put superchargers in them and all 3 in less than 1 year blew up the motors. I never had any problems with the Lightning but that motor was made for a supercharger.
